Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide support in a K-12 educational setting serving students ages 3 to 22 with moderate to severe disabilities. The position requires delivering occupational therapy services to approximately 71 students across six schools, including five elementary schools and one high school. Services will be a mix of direct and indirect therapy tailored to the needs of each student.
Location: Napoleonville, Louisiana
Duration: December 15, 2025 May 22, 2026 (Contract)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students with moderate to severe disabilities across multiple school sites
- Manage and maintain caseload documentation for approximately 71 students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, therapists, and administrators to support student goals
- Utilize therapeutic interventions to enhance students' functional performance and participation in educational activities
Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana COTA license is required
- Experience working with children and young adults with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
- Ability to manage caseload across multiple school settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
